Versland
Hammock space in beautiful cultural landscape
Description
On Versland, you will find beautiful sunsets, birdsong, and a lovely cultural landscape. Here you can bring your hammock and find peace among birch trees and grazing cows.
The trip starts at Versland Gard, where you are welcomed by a peacock, ducks, geese, lambs, rabbits – and the two mini pigs Kåre and Olga. From there, the path leads into lush birch forest before the trail takes you further towards Dvergasteinen. The hammock spot is marked with coordinates on the map below.
When you are in areas with grazing cows, it is important to follow some simple advice:
Keep your distance – Walk calmly and do not come too close to the animals, especially if there are calves in the herd.
Do not feed the animals – Cows can become pushy if they associate people with food.
Go around the herd – Feel free to take a small detour to avoid disturbing them.
Do not bring a dog – Cows may perceive dogs as a threat.
Close gates and fences – Make sure everything is closed behind you so the animals cannot get out.
