Eiketun Farm, Ørsdalen

High-quality local produce from Ørsdalen

Description

On the Eiketun farm in Ørsdalen, Grete Marie Austegard and Oddvar Austegard are focused on a targeted effort for local food of the highest quality. With cattle of the Telemark breed and Westland fjord cattle, as well as rabbits, they provide raw materials that have made their way to the Michelin restaurant Hermetikken in Stavanger.

Production occurs in small volumes, with a strong emphasis on animal welfare, a calm upbringing, and quality at all levels. This results in meat with a distinct character and high gastronomic value, qualities that are sought after by restaurants with high demands for flavor, origin, and craftsmanship.

The meat is currently delivered to selected restaurants and through the REKO ring. In the long term, the farm will also open its own farm shop, allowing both locals and visitors to access locally sourced ingredients from Ørsdalen.
