Eikeknuten II

The trip starts at the parking lot just after the tunnel from Stavtjørn. Follow the marked path towards Kvitlen Tourist Cabin until you reach Laugarvatnet. Then go southeast up the mountainside. The route is not marked after Laugarvatnet. The terrain is hilly and challenging. When you reach the height, follow the mountain formation in a southwest direction until you reach the viewpoint.

The hike up to Eikeknuten is classified as difficult due to approximately 400 meters of elevation and partially unmarked trail. The reward is perhaps one of the finest viewpoints over Ørsdalen. Due to the challenging ascent, it may be wise to plan for two overnight stays.

Remember to take care of the nature around you. Take all your trash with you and ensure that you leave no trace. Leave the campsite as you found it, so that others can experience the same beautiful nature as you.
