Eikeknuten

Eikeknuten is a hidden gem in Ørsdalen. Here you can enjoy panoramic views of Ørsdalen and Ørsdalsvatnet.

The trip starts at the parking lot just after the tunnel from Stavtjørn. Follow the marked path towards Kvitlen tourist cabin until you reach Laugarvatnet. Then head southeast up the mountainside. The terrain is hilly and challenging. Once you reach the height, follow the mountain formation in a southwest direction until you reach the viewpoint.

The hike up to Eikeknuten is a demanding journey regardless of the season. We recommend doing the hike when the weather is nice and visibility is good. Remember to bring a map and compass.
