The gazebo at Svelavatnet

Family-friendly sheltered picnic area for hiking days when it’s good to have some overhead cover.

Hiking description

Park your car at Bjerkreimshallen. Behind the hall, there is a small wooden house with a turf roof called “Grindahuset.” A short distance into the forest, there is an opening with a sign indicating “Topptur” (Summit hike). Follow the trail until you reach a gravel road. Follow the gravel road downhill towards Svelavatn (Svelavatnet). After the second bend, a path leads into the forest towards the shelter.

The shelter has a fully covered roof, a fire pit, and a grill.
