Great and diverse hike.
The hike up to Marsteinfjellet offers varied terrain that progressively changes throughout the journey. The hike begins in beautiful cultural landscapes where cows and sheep graze during the summer. Along the way to the summit, there are scenic sections with forests, marshes, watercourses, and charming ponds.
Hiking description:
From the parking lot at Spødavoll, follow the road up to a farmhouse where a sign with the text “Topptur” indicates the direction towards Dyrskog and Marsteinfjellet. Marsteinfjellet is on the way to Dyrskog, so initially, follow the signage towards Dyrskog. At the first pond, the signs indicating the way to Marsteinfjellet will begin.
We recommend bringing a map and compass so that you can find your way up even without following a trail. You can download a map with coordinates using the link from Norgeskart.
