Fossbrekka og Lanes
An easy and child-friendly hike that offers majestic mountains, birch forests, and waterfalls.
Hiking description:
The hike starts at the parking lot in Espeland. The hike can be divided into two parts:
- Espeland to Fossbrekka (3 km):
The stretch from the start to the end follows an unmarked gravel road. However, there are signs at the starting area with an information board.
- Fossbrekka to Lanes (2 km):
The trail from Fossbrekka and onwards to Lanes follows a clearly marked tractor road/trail with red markings.
Important information:
- Approximately 5 km one way to Lanes (2 hours one way)
- Difficulty level: Easy
Directions and parking:
Parking is allowed in the area with the landowner’s permission. Park in the designated parking area and avoid parking along the road or blocking access. Make sure there is enough space for larger vehicles and agricultural machinery to pass (at least 3.5 meters wide).
If the parking lot is full, you will need to find an alternative hiking destination for the day.
