The restaurant was originally a dairy and is decorated throughout with old objects and antiques from the dairy industry. In the cozy and intimate atmosphere, you can enjoy everything from traditional farmhouse cuisine to the most exquisite gourmet dishes, prepared with local ingredients from the forests, mountains, and fjords.
Activities
At Byrkjedalstunet, there are exciting activities for both young and old. On the farmyard, there are goats, and inside the candle factory, children can dip, color, and decorate candles.
Byrkjedalstunet is located in the midst of beautiful nature, with short distances to many scenic hikes. Gloppedalsura, the largest stone screes in Northern Europe, is its closest neighbor.
New for 2023 is the via ferrata in Gloppedalsura, where you can explore the scree with climbing equipment. Byrkjedalstunet provides all the necessary safety harnesses and helmets for rent.
