Restaurant
The restaurant was originally a dairy and is decorated throughout with old items and antiques from the dairy operation. In the cozy and intimate atmosphere, everything from traditional farmer's fare to the finest party dishes is served, prepared with local ingredients from forest, mountain, and fjord.
Activities
At Byrkjedalstunet, there are exciting activities for both young and old. Outside in the courtyard, there are goats, and inside the candle-making shop, children can dip, color, and decorate candles.
Byrkjedalstunet is located in the heart of nature, with a short distance to many beautiful hikes. Gloppedalsura, Northern Europe's largest stone scree, is the nearest neighbor.
New for the year 2023 is via ferrata in Gloppedalsura, where you can explore the scree with climbing equipment. Byrkjedalstunet rents out all necessary safety harnesses and helmets.
